The vital bridge from toddlerhood to preschool — growing independence and confidence.

— Program overview

At Wentworthville Childcare & Pre-School Centre, we thoughtfully design our Junior Preschool program for children aged 3 to 4 years. This program creates a vital bridge between toddlerhood and preschool, helping young learners grow in independence, confidence, and social awareness within a warm and engaging environment.

We blend play-based learning with guided experiences to inspire children to explore new ideas, express themselves, and build essential early skills. Whether your child progresses from our Nursery program or joins us for the first time, we offer personalised support to help them grow at their own pace.

The Junior Preschool room focuses on language development, fine motor skills, social interaction, and self-help abilities. These foundations prepare children for a smooth and confident transition into the next phase of their educational journey.

By following a flexible curriculum and supporting child-led projects, we encourage children to follow their interests and engage in meaningful learning experiences. This approach empowers them with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in future learning stages and beyond.

“The earliest years aren’t about racing ahead—they’re about feeling safe, being seen, and learning that the world is a good place to grow.”

Child Care Subsidy

Child Care Subsidy (CCS)

The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a government payment that helps families with the cost of childcare. It is paid directly to childcare services like Wentworthville Childcare & Pre-School Centre and passed on to families as a fee reduction, provided they meet the eligibility criteria. The amount of CCS your family receives depends on your individual circumstances, making quality childcare more affordable and accessible.
